Association of Clinical Biochemists of India (ACBI)

The Association of Clinical Biochemists of India (ACBI) is a professional organization dedicated to promoting and advancing clinical biochemistry and laboratory medicine in India. Established in 1975, ACBI supports clinical biochemists through scientific research, training, and continuing education to enhance healthcare quality and laboratory standards across the nation. The association holds annual conferences, workshops, and seminars to share the latest advancements and foster collaboration among professionals, researchers, and students in the field.

The East Zone of ACBI represents the eastern region of India within the association, working to implement ACBI's objectives at a regional level. It focuses on organizing zonal scientific programs, workshops, and other educational initiatives for biochemists and laboratory scientists in the entire East & North Eastern part of the India. This zonal body helps to bridge the gap between national developments and regional needs, ensuring that professionals in the East Zone have access to the latest knowledge, resources, and networking opportunities in clinical biochemistry.

AIIMS Kalyani, located in Kalyani, West Bengal, India initiated its academic activities since 2019 & patient care service since 2021 to improve medical education, research and healthcare access in the region. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in medicine and related fields, providing advanced medical training and healthcare services. Equipped with modern facilities and research centers, with a daily outpatient footfall of around 3,000 and comprehensive inpatient services, AIIMS Kalyani has firmly established its reputation across the entire eastern region of India. The institute aims to address healthcare disparities in eastern India and contribute to the nation’s overall health infrastructure.
